Victoria replied with a dismissive smile, "Oh, I just did what I could."
Michael was very clear and insistent. The software belonged to a secret national agency, bought through Lucas Douglas, and it should not be leaked under any circumstances.
"The steak today was great. The discussions went on smoothly too." Matilda Murphy had just returned, her eyes sweeping over Victoria and the Assistant, "You've been doing rather well at work lately. I will request for a bonus for you both this month."
She stopped at the entrance of her office, "How are the responsibilities shared between the two of you now?"
"Victoria takes care of the internal affairs, and I handle the external affairs," answered the Assistant promptly.
"She handles the internal affairs?" Matilda Murphy raised an eyebrow, "Is she in charge of all the work related to the group?"
Victoria hastily stood up, "Yes."
