Hank Clegg had been missing for three days already.
Victoria couldn't reach him by phone, she could only contact Shawn Clegg: "How are things progressing? When will you be performing the bone marrow transplant on Michael?"
Shawn Clegg's voice was filled with despair and worry, "Doctor Mason Ross said the treatment plan we previously developed was flawed, so my bone marrow cannot be used for treatment anymore. We have to switch to another treatment plan."
Victoria's legs gave out on her, and she collapsed onto the sofa, barely holding onto her phone.
"How could this be... Hank didn't mention a word about this..." she mumbled.
"I haven't seen him either," Shawn Clegg responded, "Apparently he has a new assignment and had to leave temporarily. Michael's care is now entirely in Doctor Mason Ross's hands."
Victoria was stunned...
Hank had a new assignment, so he had to leave.
No wonder she couldn't reach him by phone again.
