Suddenly, a faint sound emanated from the room.
Nigel Clegg hurriedly entered.
He saw that Melody Foster had awakened.
She was trying to turn over at the moment.
"Don't move. It will hurt more if you move," he said, rushing over to support her as he noticed her pale complexion.
Melody Foster gritted her teeth, but ultimately gave up.
Nigel Clegg gently helped her to sit up a little and then let her lean against the pillow.
"Don't be so stubborn," he said, brushing her hair aside with a resigned smile, "I once thought you were fragile, but I never expected you to be so strong-willed."
Melody Foster did not reply to Nigel Clegg's words.
She remained silent for who knows how many seconds.
Then she suddenly said, "Actually, Nigel, I think that my father may really have had an inheritance."
Nigel Clegg's eyes brightened.
"Why do you say that?" he asked.
