Victoria called Dodo over for dinner in the evening.
Dodo had to muster up her energy to chat with Mommy.
"Do you really prefer Milo Edvin or William Shaw?" Victoria's Mommy asked Dodo.
Michael was also summoned over, and he was about to return to school.
Upon hearing about William Shaw and Milo Edvin, he displayed a mixture of gossip and concern.
"I don't want to talk about this right now…" Dodo felt so anxious that she could hardly swallow the delicious food on the table, "Mommy, when is Daddy coming back?"
Hank Clegg had been at the Safety Bureau for a little too long this time.
He usually would have returned after just a few days to see Victoria's Mommy.
"Your Daddy… I'm not really sure," Victoria said vaguely, "I'll ask him tonight, but why are you suddenly asking about him?"
Dodo shook her head and only said, "I miss Daddy."
"You're not even married off yet," Victoria laughed, "and you're already missing your family so much?"
Dodo could only manage a forced smile.
