"But I didn't lie," John Coleman didn't smile.
He simply looked at her calmly, "I may have told you a lot of lies, but this one is true. I happened to see this thing and took it without thinking."

She continued to ask, her tone cool, "Then, where did you steal it from?"
John Coleman shook his head almost instantly, "I can't say."
She stood up abruptly.
She turned as if to walk outside.
But John Coleman suddenly hugged her from behind.
"Hannah, I was wrong, I know I went too far this time, but I never meant to hurt you," he pleaded in a low voice behind her.
Hannah bit down on her teeth secretly, "I'm tired of hearing 'I was wrong.'"
