Hannah found John Coleman trembling all over.
His intense display of emotions was really somewhat frightening to her.
This fright, in turn, diluted the sadness caused by remembering Merlin.
"So... should I reply to Bella Shaw?" Hannah asked.
John nodded, "Yeah, I'll go to the Playground for you; don't worry, I'll take good care of her."
Hannah smiled weakly, appearing a bit frail, "Thank you, John."
John sat beside Hannah, looking at her with a gaze that was extremely tender and adoring as she called Bella Shaw.
He now realized that her smile at Evelyn was actually very perfunctory, she was just trying to fob her off.
John guessed that Evelyn must have ideas about Hannah, probably putting pressure on her usually.
Hannah couldn't afford to provoke her, nor avoid her.
That's why she was placating her like this.
"It's settled," Hannah said as she hung up the phone, "She'll be coming by car to pick you up later."
