He noticed that when he brought the matter up again, Vanessa's already poor complexion turned even worse.
"That's a question for Miss Vanessa," Amelia Shallow said with a gentlemanly smile, looking at Vanessa, "I had the honor of being her bodyguard for a day yesterday, and I thought I had completed the task quite satisfactorily..."
