Mrs. Shaw followed her daughter's gaze towards Dodo across from her.
She nodded arrogantly at Dodo, "I will have William thank you for this."
Dodo felt utterly uncomfortable upon hearing this.
Why was it William who had to thank her? Why wasn't it "The Shaw Family is very grateful to you"?
Did saving Bella only mean rescuing William's sister and not the Miss of Shaw Family, not her own daughter?
Mrs. Shaw's arrogance added another layer to Dodo's disdain and repulsion for her.
"Alright, let's go," Mrs. Shaw said as she embraced her daughter. "Mommy has already informed the Election Committee to postpone the election, so you can participate after you've recovered."
Bella paused, completely stupefied.
Was she still expected to go?
Even after an abduction, in her current state, her mother still insisted on her participating in the election?
Thinking this, Bella couldn't help but feel a wave of sadness, and tears began to fall.
