Duoduo shook her head.
"No," she answered with just one word to John Coleman.
"What do you mean by no?" John Coleman asked, puzzled.
"It just means no, I won't say it," Duoduo shook her head, "I won't speak of it, nobody should ask me. Even if asked, I won't talk, that's what it means."
"But why?" John Coleman asked again.
Duoduo shook her head once more: "No."
No.
I won't say it.
I'll never say it.
She swore she would never mention his name again.
She wouldn't talk to anyone about him.
Since he'd pushed her toward the shores of life with his own hands, yet was dragged away by the grim reaper himself, she had made this silent vow in her heart.
She wouldn't mention him again.
He was no longer there.
Talking about those memories would only remind her how she had ignored and wrongly blamed him in the past.
Only in the darkest and deepest nights, when she opened her eyes to the endless darkness before her, would her mind replay those scenes like scenes from a movie.
