"Thank you." On the other end of the phone, Adam Walker whispered his thanks.
After exiting, looking at Adam Walker standing not far below the steps, Logan Bennett ended the call and put away his phone.
"You almost broke my right hand, don't you think you owe me a good drink?"
Adam Walker frowned, "Byron, I..."
"Alright, stop saying sorry, okay? Now every time I hear those three words, it just gives me a headache." Logan Bennett walked towards the parked car, "My mood today has been like a roller coaster. It's only because I can handle pressure well. If it were someone else, they would have been driven crazy by you!"
Adam Walker followed, asking softly, "How is her mood?"
"Not bad," Logan Bennett said with a frown as he sat in the car, "but I can tell, she's like me... able to control her emotions. She must be in a lot of pain inside."
Adam Walker remained silent.
Logan Bennett started the car and drove out of the hospital.
