Lucas Walker's face was very calm, his heterochromatic eyes fixed steadily on Logan Bennett's, his voice equally steady.
"This method won't stop me because I know you won't pull the trigger. If I die, she'll hate you."
Logan Bennett shrugged lightly, "Let her hate. I don't care as long as it's for my daughter."
Ivana Bennett, his darling daughter, for whom he would kill or die for.
Without even glancing at the pistol, Lucas Walker's differently colored eyes met Logan Bennett's unflinchingly.
"If you really love her, you shouldn't stop us from being together. You know she'll be heartbroken without me."
Logan Bennett didn't falter. He simply raised his finger and cocked the hammer of the gun.
"Yes, she'll be saddened, but she'll eventually move on from the pain. Time heals all wounds. She's just eighteen, life has just begun for her. She'll meet someone better suited for her."
