Everyone sat on either side of the long table, which was full to the brim for the first time.
At the end of the table, Lucas Walker and Ivana Bennett sat side by side.
The Butler personally started, pouring red wine for everyone while Ivana Bennett began to speak with a smile.
"Tonight is Christmas Eve, let's have Mary lead us in pre-dinner prayers!"
Everyone put their hands together in front of their chests, and the old maid Mary began to pray, "Almighty Lord, thank you for blessing us with food..."
"Amen!"
After everyone had echoed in unison, Ivana Bennett reached out and picked up her glass.
"So, let's toast to everyone!"
Everyone was holding their glasses at the same time, and after clinking glasses with each other, Ivana Bennett extended her glass to touch lightly with Lucas Walker's.
"Lucas Walker, Merry Christmas!" Then she raised her glass to the crowd, "To all of you... Merry Christmas!"
"Merry Christmas!"
Everyone shouted in unison, and then took a drink.
