Ivana Bennett walked over and sat down in front of the chair. She lifted her right hand, took a glance at the Duchess who was standing not far from her, and curled up her right hand, leaving only one index finger to pluck at the piano.
The long notes became short ones, the short notes were dragged out into long ones - she completely messed up the four notes she played.
"That's not how it's done, Miss. When playing the piano, all fingers must be used... and the first note is a long one, a four-beat note. You can count 1, 2, 3, 4 silently in your heart when you play," the teacher explained.
"Okay, let me try again."
Ivana once again extended her finger, pressing it onto the piano key without letting go.
"Miss, the note doesn't need to be played this long," Mr. Hanks said helplessly.
So, she tried again.
This time, the note length was acceptable, but she played three out of the four notes wrong.
