She placed the small notebook in her hand on the table. Ivana turned to look at the desk calendar and marked the day of Christmas with a striking red circle.
"Alright, since you desire me, this Christmas, I will give myself as a gift to you!"
She whispered with a smile, and promptly picked up the notebook to start writing seriously.
"We need a Christmas tree, and a turkey, and... gingerbread... right, and some other decorations..."
The old butler walked in quietly and stopped in front of the desk.
"Miss, lunch is ready."
"Alright." Ivana stood up and handed the completed list to him. "I need you to prepare these items for me."
The old butler took the list she handed him. "You...you are preparing for Christmas?"
"Yes." Ivana smiled. "I want to start preparing early."
"But..." The old butler hesitated. "The Count Residence has never celebrated Christmas!"
Ivana looked up, her face filled with astonishment, looking at the old butler in front of her desk. "Why?"
