Hideko Yasuda originally intended to speak with Ivana Bennett, but she stood up, face guarded, when she saw Elly suddenly approach their table.
Though usually gentle, the Japanese girl was unexpectedly fierce this time.
"What are you doing now?"
Ivana Bennett, sitting in her chair, was also watching Elly.
The girl standing before the table was unusually barefaced. Her eyes were so swollen they resembled large peaches, the whites filled with broken blood vessels.
Her face, which she had been hit across yesterday, was still noticeably swollen. It was unbearable to look at; a once-pretty face now ruined.
Ivana Bennett was taken aback at the sight of Elly in this state.
Footsteps echoed rapidly. Several others had followed Elly in.
Leading them was a man in his forties, clad in a suit, with two tall men trailing behind him.
Upon seeing Elly, all three men approached and stopped beside her.
