"It's okay, I just broke the heel of my shoe," said Ivana Bennett, resting her hand on his shoulder, "You should sit down..."
Her eye caught the small earring gleaming on his left ear, and she paused.
Reaching out a hand, she softly touched his left ear. As it was a new piercing, it was a bit inflamed and slightly uncomfortable, causing Lucas Walker to flinch slightly.
Frowning upon feeling the noticeable heat of his left lobe, Ivana remarked,
"Did... did you get your ear pierced?"
"So, I can wear it even at night," Lucas Walker casually replied. He sat straight across her on the sofa, taking the wine glass from the butler and passing it to her, "Have a sip, it'll warm you up."
Looking at his inflamed ear, Ivana said, "You should take it off first; it's a steel stud and can cause inflammation."
The earring she had given him was custom made, not composed of soft metals like gold or silver but of hard steel. This kind of metal wasn't suitable for newly pierced ears.
