"Huh!" Ivana Bennett reined in her horse and looked at the tall man stepping out of the car with a surprised expression on her face. "Is that you, Tanner?!"
Seeing her familiar face after so long, Tanner couldn't help but smile. "Quick, get in the car. We've got a plane ready and we're heading straight for the airport."
"Hold on!"
Ivana turned around, stroked the neck of her horse Lightning and said, "Thanks, Lightning, for helping me escape. I know you've been cooped up these days too. Today, you're free to roam."
Letting go of the reins, Ivana raised her hand and gave Lightning a firm pat at its flank.
"Giddy up!"
Startled by the pat, Lightning galloped towards the distant meadow.
"Thank you, Lightning. I hope you can buy me more time."
Turning her gaze back, Ivana quickly walked to the car door. "Let's go!"
Both of them got in the car, and Tanner handed her a bag from the back seat before starting the car.
