Turning around, Ivana Bennett got back into the car and parked it far away.
With her hair tied up and a pair of sunglasses covering her face, she headed back to the park. She found a spot where she could watch him, sat down, and used an abandoned newspaper to hide her face.
She had read the newspaper back and forth so many times she nearly memorized the ads in the center. Lucas Walker was still lying, motionless, on the bench.
"You kidding me?"
Just as Ivana was about to drop the newspaper, considering whether to help him wake up, Lucas stirred.
She quickly lifted her newspaper to shield her face and observed him through a hole in the paper.
Unaware that he had been relocated, Walker rolled over and fell off the bench onto the grass.
"Pfft!"
Ivana chuckled quietly behind her newspaper.
The fall jolted the now sober Lucas awake.
Coming to his feet, he glanced at the blanket on the grass and then around him. The surprise on his face slowly turned into anger.
