"It's a long story." Ivana Bennett moved sideways onto the couch, "You said you wanted to discuss something?"
"I know about An Yue." Joe sat across from her, "The hospital confirmed an overdose..."
Ivana squinted slightly, "Seems like...it's not that simple."
Joe lifted his face, staring at her for a moment, then put down his coffee cup, "Ivana, do you truly wish to come to me?"
Ivana's father was Special Forces. Growing up, she admired the military life, wanting to join the barracks with her twin brother Byron Hallock.
Unfortunately, her mother, Summer Gardner, was vehemently against the idea. She had no choice but to give up on military life and, instead, came to the United States to study a subject she was passionate about, arts & design.
Joe and her father Logan Bennett were old friends, so Ivana naturally knew Joe for a long time.
