Ivana Bennett glanced at herself in the mirror, casually picking the ruby earring off her ear and tucking it into her pocket. She was almost unrecognizable, even to her own mother, she thought to herself before stepping out of the bathroom.
At the table, Ye Feng Yang had finished pasting the photos. Seeing her emerge, he stood up and handed her a disguise kit in a backpack.
"Let's go."
Silent, Ivana took the bag and followed him out.
She was famished, but she did not even spare a glance at the breakfast laid out on the table.
When they reached the door, she noted a silver keyring hanging on a cupboard by the side. She halted, reaching out to tug at his sleeve and pointed at the keyring, her expression inquiring.
He silenced her before she could speak, and all she could do was gesture silently.
Ye Feng Yang glanced at her, nodded.
The keyring had no actual key attached to it. He had found it while tidying up the room earlier and placed it there. It had no purpose.
