"Hmph!"
Ivana Bennett huffed as she climbed the stairs. He didn't dare to follow too closely, fearing that she might actually start to run if she got upset. He just trailed behind her upstairs and into the bedroom.
Watching her sit on the edge of the bed, he finally approached, crouching in front of her, steadying her knees with his hands.
"Ivana..."
"Hmph!"
She turned her face to the side.
"It's not that I wanted to say it, you insisted I tell you."
"So?!" Ivana turned her face back, glaring at him, "I asked you to say something, and you criticized me so harshly. Couldn't you have lied to me a little? How can you be so difficult to please!"
"But you said... you wanted me to be honest." Lucas looked at her apologetically, "I'm sorry, I was too blunt."
