Upon seeing the servant wiping the floor in the hallway, she immediately gave her orders.
"Pull up all the gauze curtains in every room, and... turn on all the lights in the bedrooms. Starting tonight, Mr. Duke and I will move to the bedroom on the second floor."
"Yes, Miss."
The servant responded, bowed to her, and left.
Ivana Bennett walked through the corridor and headed towards the Shooting Room on the second floor, where she pushed open the door.
Approaching the gun cabinet, she pulled open the door to look inside, then took out a rather compact gun holster and strapped it to herself, followed by choosing a handy gun and loading the bullets one by one.
Aiming at a rake in the distance, she fired the gun to test its feel, and feeling satisfied, she tucked the gun into her holster.
She also took a dagger from the shelf, selecting one with a slimmer blade, and stashed it on her person.
