Ivana Bennett entered the king's bedroom, while Lucas Walker and the Grand Duchess were left outside.
The assistant glanced at the two of them, stepped forward, and gently closed the door behind them.
The king's bedroom, though termed a bedroom, was not merely a sleeping chamber; it also had an adjoining study room as well as a living room.
As Ivana entered the living room, an assistant waiting there immediately approached, bowed to her, and led her to the bedroom door, pushing it open for her.
Upon entering the inner room, Ivana saw the old king propped up against the head of the bed, attended by a doctor and two bodyguards.
Seeing Ivana, a smile appeared on the old man's face.
"You all may leave now," he said.
The few people bowed and left the room.
In the bedroom, only the old man and Ivana remained.
"Ivana!" the old king called out to her softly, beckoning, "Come here."
