"I'm just worried that COCO won't be able to take it."
A man who had waited for over twenty years had gotten married to another woman... This news was just too cruel.
"Or maybe," Ivana Bennett steadied Lucas Walker's arm, "we could find a way to get her out of Bitterford... and not tell her about this for now?"
"You can't wrap fire in paper, Ivana."
Lucas Walker's tone was somewhat helpless.
He too was heartbroken for COCO, but postponing it would result in the same ending. Adam Walker was already married, and that was an unavoidable fact.
Ivana, of course, knew this as well.
"Anyway, let's wait until her health improves a bit more before we say anything, at least not while she's as frail as she is now."
Lucas Walker nodded gently, "Okay then!"
Then, he reached out to take the milk from the tray and handed it to her.
Ivana took the cup, "If... if General Walker hadn't married, would you forgive him?"
