"He said he's been feeling unwell recently, so he's not coming," Logan Bennett said as he headed towards the Garage. "I'll get the game from the car. I didn't dare to bring it just now, worried that Ivana would be disgusted by it."
"I'll help you!" Summer Gardner hurried to follow him.
The two of them got the clean game, like wild rabbits and pheasants, out of the car and into the kitchen.
Once Logan Bennett washed his hands, he began to marinate the cuts of meat.
Standing by his side, watching him slice the meat, Summer Gardner's expression gradually grew dim.
Noticing her expression, Logan Bennett turned his face towards her, "Haven't figured it out yet?"
