The kitten was struggling with all its might, making high pitched noises out of fear.
Lucas Walker turned his eyes toward the kitten in the bodyguard's hand and reached out.
Seeing his intent, the bodyguard carefully placed the kitten into his hands, reminding him, "Be careful, its claws are very sharp."
As the kitten was placed into Lucas Walker's hand, fear tempted it to escape. Lucas Walker immediately tightened his grip, causing the little one to yelp in pain and scratch his hand, leaving several bleeding scratches.
"Lord Walker, you should be relaxed. You can also pet it," the old butler reminded him.
Lucas Walker frowned at the bloodstains on his hand caused by the little creature. He loosened his fingers slightly, reaching out his hand and stroking the kitten's back.
His moves were a bit stiff, making the kitten uncomfortable. It squirmed restlessly, trying to escape again.
He immediately tightened his hand again, causing the little one to scream out in pain.
