"Sorry!" Adam Walker stood up, took out his phone from his coat, glanced at the number, and answered the call. After listening for a moment, he softly replied, "Okay... I understand, don't worry."
"Was that Auntie Jin?" Ivana Bennett asked with a smile as he hung up the phone.
"Mhm," Adam responded, sitting back down at the table and glancing at his watch. "It's getting late, and I have to go to your father's unit this afternoon for some work. It's a good chance for me to talk to him."
"Uncle Walker," Ivana said, slightly nervously gripping his arm, "why don't you feel out his opinion first?"
"Don't worry, your uncle knows what he's doing," Adam reassured her with a smile.
"Then... let's end our talk here for today, so we don't delay your important matters," Ivana suggested as she stood up, and Lucas immediately followed suit.
"Okay."
Adam put down his phone, his gaze once again falling on Lucas as he slowly walked over to him.
