Ivana Bennett turned her face, only to see at the foot of the stairs leading down from the plane.
Lucas Walker was slightly bent over, his chest heaving dramatically, his blue eyes filled with anger as he looked at her. His hospital gown was stained with a large patch of blood on the shoulder.
Having run so urgently earlier, the injury on Lucas Walker's back had reopened, and the blood that seeped out had soaked his hospital gown.
"Get down now!"
Propped up by the handrail, Lucas Walker was panting angrily.
Ivana Bennett turned around to bring her other foot onto the plane, and reached back to pull the door tight.
Meow!
She moved so quickly that she hadn't noticed - Snowball's head had already poked out of her pocket.
With a twist of her body, the little guy's small figure was flung directly out of her large pocket, falling onto the steps outside the door.
Down he went, slippery claws unable to hold onto the railing, screaming all the way.
"Snowball!"
