There were no direct flights from Jamaica to China. If she were truly a student, it wouldn't be vacation time either, so Lucas Walker had speculated that she might take a flight back to America.
"But sir, Miss Bennett has neither a passport nor money, how could she purchase a ticket?" one bodyguard reminded him.
"She took a few dozen dollars from me," a bodyguard who was massaging his neck muttered.
This was the man who had been knocked out by Ivana Bennett the night before, and had some loose change taken from his wallet.
"A couple dozen dollars is nowhere near enough for a plane ticket," another bodyguard interjected.
Lucas Walker cut them off, "Someone was helping her."
Normally, if it weren't for being assisted, Ivana Bennett would have taken all the money from the bodyguard's wallet because money makes things easier.
But she didn't do that; instead, she took only some loose change, which indicated that she had great confidence in leaving swiftly.
