Lucas was startled, his eyes unconsciously falling into Ivana, who was looking out the window.
The sun seeped in through the window on her side, casting a golden glow on her delicate profile, with the corners of her lips curled up into a smile as bright as the sun.
Her dark eyes reflected the sunlight, they were transparent as a clear spring, without a hint of gloom.
He remembered as he spoke to her over the phone last night, she was giggling throughout.
Later when he saw her, she looked ragged, yet she maintained that upward curl of her lips.
Such a demeanor indicated that no matter what, nothing seemed too serious in her eyes.
"You seem... to be always happy," Lucas couldn't help but ask.
"Of course." Ivana slightly squinted her eyes, looking at the exotic scenery outside the window, "Life has to go on, so why not enjoy it? Be it hardship, joy, or pain..."
Saying this, she turned, smiling at him.
"Everything will pass, right?" She asked.
