In the kitchen, Byron Hallock picked up the vegetables that Summer Gardner had selected and put them into the washing basin. He teased, "Another half hour passed. Wouldn't you want to bring them something else?"
Summer looked up, "I've brought up the tea, the fruits. I'd love to bring up something else... but there's nothing left."
