"Boss, are you okay?" Brook Xavier darted over.
"I'm fine. I'm taking Ivana back first. You stay here and thoroughly search the area. Be careful."
"Yes, sir!" Brook Xavier turned and continued the search with the rest of the team.
Ivana followed her father out of the forest, worried but not daring to look back, afraid that Byron Hallock would see something amiss.
She got back into her off-road vehicle. Her hand clutched the tablet in her pocket, but she didn't dare take it out.
Byron Hallock started the car and drove to the Main Camp, "What's the matter? You seem preoccupied. Has something difficult come up? Talk to your dad about it!"
"Nothing at all!" Ivana rubbed her belly, "I'm just too hungry to have a good mood."
"You little thing!" Byron Hallock playfully pinched her nose, "You can't fool me with that look in your eyes. Stop pretending and tell me, what's troubling you? Let your wise dad use his many years of life experience to help you analyze it!"
