"Yes, Count." The maid quickly responded.
As Lucas Walker left with the young butler and assistant, the maid leaned in toward the older butler, "Sir Butler, what has happened to the Count?"
He was always cold-faced and challenging to serve, but today he was smiling, his tone even quite gentle.
This was truly... too abnormal, thought the long-serving maid at the Count residence.
The elder butler glanced upstairs and smiled warmly in the manner of an elder, "I think... the Count is in love!"
"In love?" The maid paused before breaking into a smile, "Love is truly powerful. After all these years, this is the first time I've seen the Count like this. I'll go to the farmstead now and bring back the freshest ingredients. Then I will prepare a delicious Croatian meal for them."
"Remember to prepare a little extra," the elder butler said with a grin, "It's been a long time since I had your Croatian cuisine."
