Ivana Bennett saw the maid standing by the bed, she raised her brows in confusion, and asked the maid again, "Do you need anything else?"
"Miss..." The maid stood by the bed, began to speak with a mix of reverence and caution, "Would milk and sandwiches be alright?"
It was then that Ivana realized that the woman was worrying over her "whatever" comment, she smiled reassuringly at the maid, "Of course, that's fine."
"Do you... want to add an egg?"
"Add one."
"May I ask, how well-done do you like it?"
"Uh!"
Ivana was taken aback, and only after a few seconds did she manage to respond, "Fully cooked!"
"Then, do you want meat, do you prefer pork or beef?"
Ivana was at a loss for words. Just how capricious was Lucas Walker, to have made the maid so overly cautious around him.
Seeing the maid standing by her bed, Ivana sent her a comforting smile, "No meat, fully-cooked egg, add a slice of vegetable, a bit of peanut butter, no sugar in the milk... Are we good now?"
