"Leave permit?" Flossie Wright raised an eyebrow.
The existence of leave permits meant that they could spend the next three days outside the Base, instead of staying in.
"Yes."
Nancy Phillips nodded affirmatively.
This was their first real combat mission, and after the life-threatening experience, they naturally wanted to go home and reunite with their families, so a three-day leave was granted.
Technically, their leaves should be strictly scheduled according to military ranks, but there were always exceptions.
They had been through life and death, so they deserved some privileges.
After thinking for a moment, Flossie decided to put the matter of the leave permit out of her mind.
