Just after hanging up the phone, she heard Belinda Nichols's cold voice asking.
Turning her head slightly, and upon glancing up, she saw Belinda Nichols standing beside her.
"It's nothing." Flossie shrugged her shoulders, put her phone back into the drawer, and said, "I'll be taking leave tomorrow."
"For how long?"
With a flicker in her eyes, Belinda Nichols asked with a steady tone.
"Three days."
After a moment of silence, Belinda Nichols looked at her and slowly said, "Stay safe."
"I know."
Flossie nodded her head.
Without asking for the reason, once Belinda Nichols got the answer, she left promptly and decisively.
