Silence, awkwardness.
And just a tinge of nervousness.
Becca Reyes was not comfortable being alone with him.
She would always get inexplicably nervous.
After hesitating for two minutes.
She suddenly exhaled sharply, stood up, and spoke in a rather stiff voice, "I should go."
"Wait."
Raising his hand, he grasped her wrist.
Becca Reyes turned her head in astonishment.
Looking up, Calvin Ramos's eyes were slightly shaded, yet firm as he enunciated each word, "There is something I need to tell you."
"Just say it."
Biting her lip nervously, Becca Reyes tried to shake his hand off.
But—
She couldn't.
The grip on her wrist was tight, as if clamped by iron tongs.
Becca Reyes felt somewhat disheartened.
Gazing at her intently, Calvin Ramos said slowly, "About breaking up."
Becca Reyes was startled.
Then, a smile appeared on her lips, "Shouldn't you be discussing this with Cherry Hamilton?"
Suddenly, her heart felt as if it was angrily twitching.
"Becca Reyes."
