Immediately, she closed the door.
"Thump thump thump..."
Outside, there came the urgent knocking, along with Lucas Cook's loud voice.

Flossie Wright finally couldn't hold back and laughed out loud.
Perry Reed's face turned completely dark.
"You knew all along?"
