"The door is locked."
As the words fell, the footsteps on the fifth floor got closer and closer.
Each step, strikingly clear.
"Hmm."
Flossie Wright raised her eyebrows slightly, responding in a nonchalant manner.
Clearly, she had a plan in mind.
Belinda Nichols' eyes flickered as they fell on Flossie Wright.
Sure enough, Flossie was already standing in front of the lock, an iron wire in her hand that had appeared out of nowhere. She put the wire into the lock and turned it slightly. With a "click," the lock opened.
Watching the scene without betraying any emotion, Belinda followed Flossie's lead onto the rooftop. As the loud voices approached, she stepped into the room and forcefully shut the door behind her with a "bang."
As she reached the rooftop and heard the noise, Flossie turned around in confusion, only to see Belinda, cold as ice, standing by the door.
Slightly vague, it was not very clear, but she could feel a hint of malevolence.
Defiance.
