The calm voice held a faint hint of anger.
Flossie Wright's figure slowly disappeared from their sight, and the direction she was headed happened to be the most conspicuous office building at Base.
It was a place many soldiers would hurry to leave at merely the sight of it.
"What is she up to?"
Stuart Weston moved closer to Becca Reyes, asking with a touch of curiosity.
He couldn't comprehend why anyone would willingly step foot into that building. The place was teeming with people displaying military epaulets. One harsh look from them could scare you to death. Setting foot into it, you might emerge stripped to the bone.
Becca Reyes glanced at him briefly, then quickly assumed a serious expression, "Go find the boss, air your complaints."
"Huh?"
Stuart Weston was taken by surprise. He instinctively wanted to ask what complaints he had. However, what came to mind was the image of him wondering aloud why Flossie and Becca had been assigned to his team.
