The thunderous noise echoed through the air, shaking the earth and making even the troops yet to approach the building feel the ground shaking beneath them. The well-trained soldiers were stunned for a moment, but quickly regrouped according to the prearranged plan, ready to carry out any new orders issued for an attack.
Patrick Morrison was left feeling dizzy and overwhelmed by the explosion. However, his first instinct after recovering was to stop Rowdy Brightwill and Glenn Hutchinson. Yet, to his surprise, in the blink of an eye, the two men had disappeared without a trace, nowhere to be found.
"Dammit, don't tell me they..."
Meanwhile, a soldier from the same team as Patrick Morrison approached. Upon not seeing Rowdy Brightwill and Glenn Hutchinson, he turned to Morrison, his face as disheartened as his own.
What on earth was going on? Were they just adding to the chaos?!
