"When are you two planning on getting married?"
Halfway through a quiet dinner, Regan Wright, who had been focusing on Flossie Wright and Glenn Hutchinson, suddenly posed this question.
In Regan's view, Flossie bringing Glenn back at this time meant that their relationship must have progressed to a serious stage. Both of them were of marriageable age, and the sooner they got married, the sooner he could stop worrying about any "accidents" happening.
Besides, Helen Wright's marriage was under discussion. If Flossie, the older sister, remained unmarried, it might lead to gossip.
