As she came over to take off Flossie Wright's hat and scarf, Mrs. Wright explained gently, but her countenance always carried a hint of worry, afraid that Flossie might not approve of the unnecessary ingredients she added into the porridge.
Flossie, having been spoiled growing up, definitely had a habit of being picky with her food. She often caused a ruckus because the meals served on the dining table weren't to her taste. When in a better mood, she would simply refuse to eat and retreat to her room; when in a bad mood, she would practically overturn the entire table, leading Mr. Wright to scold Mrs. Wright for spoiling her from an early age. Whenever this happened, Mr. and Mrs. Wright would end up in a heated argument, sometimes even escalating to blows.
