"..."
After a moment of silence, Rowdy Brightwill gave Flossie a thumbs-up in admiration. In a society like this, it was quite rare for someone like Flossie Wright to not carry a mobile phone.
Handing the still-ringing phone to Flossie, Rowdy Brightwill shrugged his shoulders. "It's your mom, she's looking for you."
Lately, Rowdy Brightwill had been serving as a go-between for Flossie and her mother. Even Flossie's father would contact him directly whenever he needed her, since he had never been able to reach Flossie through her phone — contacting her was beyond difficult.
Thinking of that woman with the gentle voice, Flossie felt a little headache coming on. Still, she couldn't refuse the call then and there. She casually swiped to answer it and put the phone to her ear, opening softly, "Hello."
"Is that you, Flossie Wright?" Flossie's mother's voice sounded a bit surprised and excited. "Have you and Rowdy Brightwill arrived yet?"
"We just landed."
