Looking up slightly, she saw that Janice Wood, seated in the front row, was too far away for her to catch a glimpse of the answers.
"Thud."
Someone quietly tapped the desk.
Flossie's gaze shifted, and with a bit of surprise, she noticed who had just taken the seat without being aware of it previously.
It was Calvin Ramos.
Feeling her eyes on him, Calvin turned his head slightly. A soft smile appeared in his warm eyes, and cursory, he shifted the nearly completed test paper to the side, allowing Flossie to see the answers clearly.
Her eyes flickered with disbelief, but Flossie did not resist.
