Flossie Wright was the kind of person who made a firm boundary between herself and the Forces. She saw things clearly and knew what she ought to do as a soldier, but for her, it was merely a role she had to play well. She only appeared to be a soldier, watching others brim with ambition and aspirations from a distance, never actually engaging herself.
