The bullet fired, a hand covered her mouth, and she rolled into the bushes, all happened too quickly.
Becca Reyes had always been confident in her ability to handle sudden situations. However, Flossie's rapid series of actions were incredibly swift. It wasn't until she rolled onto the grass and felt the pain that her brain slowly pieced the situation together.
