The day before, after intimidating Nigel Ferguson, she had casually bought weighted lead pieces from this shop on her way out. While this may have been a small incident for Flossie, it was a massive nightmare for the shopkeeper.
He ran a Military Surplus Store, selling various military goods. While soldiers occasionally dropped by, the majority of his customers were military enthusiasts. As a merchant, it was impossible to distinguish between genuine and counterfeit goods. Even real soldiers struggled with this, so he had been taking advantage of the confusion to run this shop for years.
