Jessie Grain put down the roster in her hand and approached with a friendly demeanor, asking, "Is there something you need?"
"It's nothing much, I just came to bring some local specialties for you all."
Cherry Hamilton spoke amiably and then glanced down at the box in her hands, her smile deepening a bit.
"Local specialties?" Seemingly surprised, Jessie Grain looked at the item in her hand. "What is it?"
"It's all pastries," Cherry Hamilton explained.
At that same time, Stuart Weston raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Hey, isn't this what Calvin Ramos had sent over?"
"Oh."
Cherry Hamilton was startled and her face colored with slight embarrassment, but she quickly bowed her head again, her cheeks flushing with redness.
It was an obvious display.
With her back to the door, Becca Reyes gripped the railing beside her bed tightly, the veins on her hands standing out.
