Seated nearby, Becca Reyes abruptly leaned towards Flossie Wright while brandishing a rather large pair of scissors, which had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. She snipped the air before Flossie's face, as if she would attack Flossie with them at the utterance of the simple word "yes".
Flossie gleefully pushed her away, quickly snatching the scissors from Becca's distracted grasp. With a cocked eyebrow and a hint of annoyance, Flossie questioned, "Who could possibly please him?"
With Sergeant Lin's stubborn nature, who could find a way around him? It wasn't as easy as just serving him a meal.
After pondering a moment, Becca Reyes agreed that it was indeed the case.
But her acceptance only fostered even more suspicion among the others. Flossie had been given preferential treatment in the cooking class because she was participating in new trainee training, but Becca was also a new trainee. So why wasn't Becca being given special treatment as well?
